“Drinking water is like taking a shower on the inside of your body”. This shows the importance of water in our body. How much water should you drink a day? It’s a simple question with no easy answer.

As we all know water is an essential need of body without water nobody can survive. But most of the people ignore this and do not drink water time to time and this bad habit makes our body physically and mentally weak.

So let’s make our body strong & healthy and make a healthy habit of drinking water not other harmfull drinks:-P

How Much Water Should You Drink A day

Water makes up about 60 percent of our body weight. Every  system in your body  fully depends on water. Lack of water can cause dehydration. Dehydration is a condition when your body don’t have enough water to carry out functions.

We constantly lose water from our body via urine and sweat. There are many factors that affect our need for water. To recover this loss of water we should drink water more and more.

We should take many sips of water in a day to maintain the level of water in our body. All over, “Just follow your thirst”.

There are many different opinions on how much water should you drink a day.

Here are some:

  • The Institute of Medicine determined that “an adequate intake (AI) of water for men is roughly about 13 cups (3 liters) a day. The AI for women is about 9 cups (2.2 liters) a day”.
  • The health authorities commonly recommend “eight 8-ounce glasses, which equals about 2 liters, or half a gallon”.
  • The UK’s National Health Service (NHS), through its NHS Choices website, once gave the recommendation to drink up to eight glasses of fluid a day. etc…

these were some examples of opinions related to drinking water.

But, According to me do not follow any opinions of others, Just follow your thirst and drink water as much as your body can accept.

By making a water diet plan you can help yourself to drink sufficient water each day. I am going to tell you a little bit about, What is water diet? and how it’s work?

“Water diet is just a systematic way to maintain water drinking habit or to establish water drinking habit”. Maintained water diet is so easy for those people who are habitat to drink water time to time.

But exactly it is for those who are suffering from the habit of not to remember water drinking, Dehydration etc.

So take the water diet as a challenge and follow the rules of water charts provided here, according to your thirst and body need.

1. 30 Day Water Challenge

For The Next 30 Days, Drink Water!

  •  After Waking Up
  • 30 Minutes Before Breakfast
  • 1 Hour After Breakfast
  • 30 Minutes Before Lunch
  • 1 Hour After Lunch
  • Before Tea Break
  • 30 Minutes Before Dinner
  • Just Before Going to Bed

2. Best Times of Day to Drink Water

  • 8:OO AM- 2 Glass In The Morning

(Drink 2 glass of water on an empty stomach contributes to a healthy level of hydration. It’s also a good way to wake up your body and get it ready for breakfast.)

  • 11.00 PM- 1 Glass Morning Break

(1 glass of water will help your stomach to digest morning breakfast easily and make your metabolism system strong.)

  • 1:oo PM- 1 or 2 Glass At Lunch

(It is good to allow yourself to drink some fresh or sparkling water during your meal.)

  • 4:00 PM- 2 Glass In The Afternoon

(It’s common to feel thirsty in the afternoon and want to drink water during this time. So It’s good to have a water bottle with you and drink for your thirst.)

  • 8:00 PM- 1 or 2 Glass After Dinner

(when you have dinner, after half an hour or before going to your bed drink 1 or 2 glass of water with happiness for a healthy sleep.)
